Purpose: The purpose of this lab is to introduce the student to the structures of the human ovary.
Materials and Methods: This lab requires the model of the ovary and either the text or internet as a resource.
Experiment: Using the model, locate the following structures: primordial follicle, primary follicle, secondary follicle, mature follicle, ovulated oocyte, corpus luteum, corpus hemorragicum, germinal epithelium, zona pellucida, and corona radiata
